Important Information: Possible Campus and Road Construction During Orientation

During the May through August period there can be a significant amount of construction going on in and around the Storrs campus as summer campus renovation/building projects occur.  For this reason we ask that you allow more than enough time for your arrival because you may be delayed with detours and road closures in getting to your campus destination on the day of your session.  We are sorry about this inconvenience but campus and state road repair and construction are totally out of our control.

If parking in the North Garage, the best entrance into the University is through "Discovery Drive."  Discovery Drive is located off of Route 44 in Mansfield, CT.  The speed limit on Discovery Drive is 25 miles per hour which is strictly enforced by the UConn Police Department.  North Garage Address:  103 N. Eagleville Road, Storrs CT 06269

If parking in the South Garage, the best entrance into the University is  through "Discovery Drive."  Discovery Drive is located off Route 44 in Mansfield, CT.  The speed limit on Discovery Drive is 25 miles per hour which is strictly enforced by the UConn Police Department. Take Discovery Drive to Hillside Road which travels through campus.  Once you reach the Gampel Pavilion take Jim Calhoun Way  which is between the Gampel Pavilion and the UConn Bookstore.  The entrance to the South Garage will be on the left.  South Garage Address:  2366 Jim Calhoun Way, Storrs, CT 06269

There is no parking for Orientation attendees in any of the ground (outside) parking lots on campus.   These parking lots are for university faculty and staff who have parking permits for these areas.  All Orientation participants must park in either the North or South Garage or risk getting a parking ticket.
