The Storrs Spring Admissions Preview (Orientation) Program

Students admitted to the university  in the Storrs Spring Admission Program must attend a Preview session (Orientation) at the Storrs Campus.   This mandatory obligation to attend an orientation to the Storrs campus was included in your admissions packet.  See the Storrs Spring Admission Requirements below.

STORRS SPRING ADMISSION PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:  To participate in the Storrs Spring Admission Program, you will need to:

  • Earn a minimum of 12 credits in your fall semester at a UConn regional campus.
  • Achieve a fall semester grade point average of at least 3.0.
  • Attend a Storrs Spring Admission Program Orientation session where you will meet with a Storrs academic advisor, and learn about our student community
  • Live on campus during your first spring semester at Storrs.

This program has been designed specifically for the students who are part of the Spring Storrs Admissions program and have completed one semester at a regional campus.  Your  program will start with check-in from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. with the program beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending between 3:00 - 3:30 p.m. Students will learn more about life at Storrs through special presentations, take a tour of campus, and meet with their school/college on campus. Lunch is included.  There is no fee to attend this program if you are a Storrs Spring Admissions student.

This program is for Storrs Spring Admissions students only.  Parents, friends or siblings CANNOT stay with students during their session.  Parents, friends or siblings will have to meet up with you after your Preview program ends.  NOTE:  Parent Orientation is not offered during the December/January Orientation period.

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A STORRS SPRING ADMISSIONS PREVIEW (ORIENTATION) PROGRAM.  Storrs Spring Admissions students will receive an email invitation to sign up for this program.  These invitations will begin to be sent in Mid-November, 2019.  Students cannot reserve a spot in the program until they receive the email invitation.  After a student makes a reservation for the program an email confirmation will be sent with all program details.  Emails are sent to the student's UConn email address.

Please Contact the Storrs Orientation Office if you are a Storrs Spring Admissions Student who has done either of the following:

  • Lived on the Storrs Campus in Fall 2019
  • Attended a Storrs Campus Preview Program in June or July of 2019
